The mark consists of a circle of rope which encompasses an inner border circle. Inside that circle, there is a 5 point star above a shield. The shield is centered in the inner circle and surrounded on the sides by a laurel wreath with a ribbon below it and the word ALUMNUS centered in the ribbon. Inside the shield, the letter A is centered behind a balance scale which depicts the letter S representative for Success, outweighing the letter F representative for failure.
