An automobile accelerator and brake pedal device, which is a brake pedal device comprising a vertically operable brake pedal having an auxiliary pad connected thereto, a transversely operable accelerator pad disposed in the auxiliary pad, and acceleration mechanism driven by the accelerator pad, wherein the accelerator pad is in the form of a plate-like member and chevroned with the intermediate portion bulging outward, the acceleration mechanism being operated by the slope surface of the chevron.
