  1. A mobile cremation urn includes a container portion having a volume in which cremation ashes are stored and a mounting portion coupled to the container portion to secure the mobile cremation urn to a moving vehicle. The container portion may be elongated and the mounting portion may be oriented substantially parallel with the container portion or a longitudinal axis thereof. The mounting portion may include a mounting flange, mounting posts, or mounting apertures. A removable closing member may be attached to the container portion and may seal the ashes contained therein. The closing member may also include a locking feature. The container may be fabricated with a corrosion resistant coating. A distinguishing mark may be displayed on an exterior surface of the container.
