The dynamic-content documents are created based upon an extracted layout definition from a static web document with dynamic content mapped into the extracted layout definition. The invention is especially useful for application to Hypertext documents, such as Hyper Text Markup Language documents. The preferred embodiment disclosed is a Java servlet.
