  1. A bracket for use in retrofitting building panels to a structure is provided with forward, rearward and top walls which define a channel therebetween. The channel is sized and shaped to substantially enclose existing fasteners on the structure to substantially prevent lateral movement of the bracket along the existing building panels. The lower end portion of the bracket is shaped to marry the profile of the existing building panels. A single series of fasteners secure the new building panel to the bracket, the existing building panel and preferably the frame of the structure.
