  1. The present invention is directed to a device for changing a fluorescent light, in particular a compact fluorescent light. Generally, the device comprises a light bulb receiving portion with a receptacle sufficient in size to accommodate a compact fluorescent light. The device further comprises a latching mechanism for engaging the bulb portion of a compact fluorescent light bulb, whereby the latching mechanism is located on the light bulb receiving portion and facilitates removal of a compact fluorescent light. By properly orientating the device around a compact fluorescent light, one can also use the device to install a compact fluorescent light.
