  1. p-Menthane-3,8-diol (PMD) has antiseptic, antibiotic, fungicidal and bactericidal properties. It is used for these purposes in the form of compositions and method comprising the PMD and optionally a carrier. A method of treating acne, folliculitis body, scalp folliculitis, Hydradinitis suppuritiva dandruff, seborrhoeic dermatitis (scalp or body), pityriasis versicolor, pityrosporun folliculitis, tinea corporis, tinea pedis, tinea cruris, tinea capitis, tinea unguum, tinea folliculitis or rosacea in a patient including administering an effective amount of PMD.
