  1. A power amplifier arrangement is disclosed which has two or more amplifiers connected in parallel. The amplifiers can be switched on and off independently of one another by means of control devices. At least one DC/DC converter is provided for supplying voltage to the amplifiers. A significant improvement in the efficiency of a power amplifier is achieved by the combination of the voltage supplied by means of a DC/DC converter for the amplifiers with distributed power gain. The arrangement is therefore particularly suitable for use in mobile radio transmission arrangements.
